A type of fatty acid, medium-chain-triglycerides (MCTs) are quickly absorbed by the body and used for energy and are less likely to be deposited as fat, when compared to long chain fatty acids.
There are four types of MCTs: caproic acid, caprylic acid, capric acid and lauric acid
